Coming from a background of styling and art direction Leigh went on to make her mark as a music video director winning the FNB SAMA award for "Best Music Video" along with the Sithengi Film Festival award for "Best Newcomer". From here her music videos proceeded to scoop the SAMA award for direction for the next three years along with a couple of Avanti awards, and the vue'd Afrique in Montreaux.

Leigh then moved into the commercials world in 2003 and started to craft her career as a fresh and innovative visual director with a strong talent for storytelling. Leigh was recently profiled in Shots magazine as one of the top five creative people in South African advertising, and her work has been regularly featured in D&AD, the Loerie Awards, Shots, Best Ads and The Reel.
